
Dr Rotimi Olaniyan
Rotimi is a commercial strategist, marketing and digital transformation expert, and higher education leader with over three decades of global experience across Africa, Europe, and the UK.
His career spans the intersection of industry, professional marketing services and academia. He has held executive and leadership roles in the FMCG sector with multinationals such as Colgate-Palmolive, in marketing services, and with agencies within groups like the Omnicom network, where he provided services to companies including Coca-Cola, Diageo, Total Energy, and Promasidor. He has also served as programme director for postgraduate marketing courses in UK higher and executive business education at Nottingham Trent University, teaching across Europe and the UK.
As an adviser, non-executive director, and thought partner, he has guided multinational organisations, fintech, and other fast-growing startup ventures, serving as a trainer and business adviser on the HM UK government's Help2Grow SME business support programme, as well as contributing as a consultant on UK regional government economic development initiatives.
He is a former vice president of Nigeria's Chartered Marketing Institute. Rotimi holds a doctorate in business administration. He has been published in leading global journals and publications and has contributed to policy-shaping research on inclusive growth. He has delivered papers on artificial intelligence, marketing technology ecosystems, and entrepreneurship at leading international conferences such as the British Academy of Management and the Academy of Marketing Science.
